Jinding, the 2nd highest peak of E-mei Moun. |
It
is said that E-mei is the place of Buddha
PU-xian. So the temple for Pu-xian was built on
Jin-ding, the 2nd highest peak of E-mei, about
3048m high. The left photo shows this. |

The Meeting Site |
There
are a lot of tales about E-mei. e.g. the story
about Bai Girl, who is become from a snake. She
and her sister, also a snake in green, meet in
the place where the left photo shows. Do you
believe that? |

Temple >> |

The
right photo shows another temple with different
style. And it was built in Jin Dynasty, thousands
years ago. So the name of the temple means
"Thousands of Years ". So great. It is
said there is a cimelia in this temple. That is
the cononet of the Buddha Statue, which is
composed of gold and numerous diamonds. And
around the big Statue, there are lots of small
buddha statues which also built with gold. The
cimelia makes the "Thousands Years
Temple" become the biggest temple in E-mei
Moun. |

The Biggest Statue of Buddha in Leshan |
This
is the famous Le-shan Buddha Statue, which was
regard as the biggest buddha statue in the
world. There is another big buddhe statue, that is
the whole Lin-yun Moun. And the Le-shan Buddha
Statue is in the heart of the bigger statue flat.
That means "buddha in heart". You also
could feel "huddha also have love",
when you look the bigger statue carefully. Here's
no photo, you find it by yourself. |

SUMMARY |
As one of the four most famous
boddhsim mountains, E-mei Moun. attracts turists
from all over the world. Another feature about
E-mei is the brutal monkeys. They would rub you
for the foods. I also fighted with them for
self-defence when I was there. But there is no
photo evidences. The Biggest Statue of Buddha in
China is in Lin-yun Moun., 50 miles from E-mei.
It is more than 80m high, and built on the bank
of Ming River. I took this photo in the middle of
the river, still hundreds metres from the bank.
So you could image how greatful the Statue is.
